What's your inner dialogue?

This one time in Palm Beach... Winston Churchill turned to me and told me a hilarious joke. We laughed. Sure, in this instance I was essentially having an imaginary conversation with a statue... but what if we think of the statue, our dude Winston, as one of the voices we sit on a bench with every day - in our own heads? I’m in the midst of reading A Course in Miracles and studying about egos, and it’s really forced me to ask myself some tough questions about these voices. It’s not all laughs. Questions like: “What are you so afraid of? Where is that thought coming from? Is this self-dialogue coming from a place of love, or from fear?” If the Winston Churchill in your head ain’t telling you a joke, or that you’re loved, that you’re uniquely amazing, and a beautiful human... maybe it’s time to change the conversation, no? No need to critique or shame yourself in the process. Just notice what’s happening, and if you feel you want to shift it... the best part is all you have to do is choose to. That’s pretty simple, right? Just try it. I will too. Keep on rocking, my friends, and I’ll be right there with you. Much love ❤️
