Tell your people that they’re magic…
And even more importantly... tell yourself this. Lately I’ve been so serious, so laser-focused on what I want to create and accomplish in the future that I get hung up on what’s *not* happening now. I want so badly for my vision to be perfect that I forget to sit back and appreciate the magic that *is* happening around me - around YOU. It’s easy as hell to lose sight of it in this chaotic, crazy world. It’s a struggle. Someone looks at you the wrong way, or trips you in the street, or it’s raining outside, or you were late for the train, or the salad was soggy, or you suffered a tragic loss, or someone broke your heart, or you got a diagnosis, or you didn’t get that promotion you wanted. It’s heavy, and it’s hard. All these sucky, magic-sucking moments big and small start piling up in your heart and mind like garbage you forgot to take out... but why? Why do we let these things rule our lives some days when there is all this magic goodness out there? There are people we love, experiences to share, and so much joy to be had. I raise those magic-sucking moments a big fat “F*CK THAT, BYE!” because we’ve got one grand, spectacular life to live right now. If we let every moment that knocks us down take the reins, what’s the point? What good does it serve for us and others? None. So, look in the mirror today and remind yourself, “HEY BEAUTIFUL ME! I AM MAGIC. I’M HERE TO SHARE MY MAGIC POWERS, WORLD.” To clarify, this is in all caps because you are screaming it - I want to hear you. Yes, I’ll do it and look like I’m crazy, too, as per usual 🙃 #stayweird dudes.
