CRAFTING THE CAREER YOU WANT: LIVE TRAINING

In partnership with The Broad Exchange, I researched, wrote, designed and co-facilitated a 2.5 hour live workshop for over 60 participants. The Broad Exchange wanted to create a workshop that centered around topics of fearlessness and career transitions. Many participants mentioned feeling unsatisfied or stuck in their roles and seeking deeper fulfillment. They also wanted to focus on community and connecting with each other, so our workshop included several intentional moments of small and large group discussions to share insights and deepen the impact of the learning.

Process:

  • Survey questions were sent out to The Broad Exchange’s email list to determine what topics would be most helpful to cover in the workshop

  • Content outline and script were drafted in collaboration with Kay & Black’s CEO and SME

  • Prototype testing included live rehearsals where several potential participants listened in to give initial feedback

  • Several iterations were drafted and designed to optimize the content and time management

  • A survey was shared with participants after the event to gauge the training’s success

Results: Participants shared feedback that they left the event feeling reenergized, inspired and more confident. Participants gained new connections and contacts as well as greater clarity on what they wanted next in their career journey. Kay & Black / Career Happy received an influx of several new 1:1 coaching clients and The Broad Exchange created a successful email series based on our training content, resulting in a 10% increase in open rate. Not a single person opted out of the series.

confidential work: group training series

In collaboration with a healthcare startup, I drafted a proposal for a series of instructor-led live trainings. ALLYSHIP & ACTION: HIRING DIVERSELY WORKSHOP

In collaboration with Allies in Recruiting (AIR), Ogilvy and The Broad Exchange, I worked with HR, senior manager and recruitment subject matter experts (SMEs) to create a short workshop on the state of diverse hiring and tactics to help teams hire more diversely. This was presented as part of Allyship & Action’s State of Equity 2-day virtual summit.
